Planning saves you money

Have you ever bought a soda at an amusement park for $5.00?  You paid for the convenience of the moment.  We all have those moments where we need a service and the price is not an option.  It could be that friend who offered to photograph your wedding gets sick or backs out at the last moment and suddenly you need to hire a professional for this weekend!  Your choices will be limited to who is available.  If you plan your grand wedding that way, you may be buying average products at premium prices.

If you are thinking about possibly getting married in the near future, take some time to go to a Bridal Show.  There are many in the area that showcase a variety of vendors, their products, services, and staff.  When you go, ask questions and take note of their answers!!

  • Are they professional?
  • Do they have backup equipment?
  • How long have they been in business?
  • Who will be working your wedding?
  • Is there a contract?, ...a deposit?, ...non-refundable?
  • What happens if _________?
  • Do they enjoy weddings?

Pick up business cards, brochures, and do take notes! Your wedding will be one of the most emotional and romantic days of your life.  For some Bridal vendors, it is only a job. You are the one who should be satisfied at the end of the day. If you plan a little, you can get what you want without surprises.

You took time to pick the right person to marry -- do the same with your vendors.
