What makes a moment special to you?
A wine connoisseur once told me a great moment deserves a great glass of wine. What makes a great glass I asked? The wine needs to have great legs! Swirl the wine in the glass and watch the wine trails and see how they hold to the sides of the glass. So what makes a great moment for you, he asked.... A man fishing on a lake for hours with only the discipline of the line playing out where he casts. A person hitting the ball again to see if it will go where they want. The quiet of the house before the day begins when it is only you, the dog, and a cup of coffee. The end of the day when you sit on the porch watching the rain fall in front of you. The interest of a loved one as they focus on the special task they are mastering. The ease at how your grandfather polishes your shoes for you. Not everything is wine appropriate.
Lots of special memories for me and possibly for you too. The important thing is to capture them in your heart and on paper if you can. Put them on the wall, on a desk, in your study to remember and share those stories with others. As the holidays approach, chose an image to copy and share with someone. If the image is fading or cracked, we can fix the copy for you. Those old pictures are full of memories and they have great legs.
